Tour Itinerary

Arrival Day: Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arusha City

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International airport then transfer you to Arusha city at the low slope of Mt. Meru where your hotel is allocated for bed and breakfast. The drive is a1 hour slow and safe drive.

Day 2: Arusha to Longido

After your breakfast then transfer to the junction point of Longido meet with our staff and Maasai people at this point for a welcome song from Maasai people then walk for 8km to the camp for lunch. After your lunch, you will have a little walk around the area then back to the camp for dinner and overnight. Today includes Full Board.

The area is dominated by acacia plants some wildlife animals can also be seen such as Hyaena, Elephants, Klipspringer, Hare, Rock Hyrax, Lion, etc. You will experience observing Maasai grazing their livestock around the area.

Day 3: Longido to Kitumbeine Camp

Today after breakfast, we trek to Longido Big Rock 1800m a climb which takes 4 hours then back to the camp for bush hot lunch.

We then board the vehicle for two hours drive then drop off from the vehicle and trek for 10km to Kitumbeine Camp via Kitumbeine Maasai village. During the climb to Longido big rock, driving and last 10km walk you will able spot some wildlife such as hyena, elephants, klipspringer, hare, rock hyrax, lion, gerenuk, giraffe and Grant’s gazelle.

You will have the opportunity to observe the Maasai grazing their livestock and their settlement around the village area.

In the evening you will arrive at Kitumbeine Campsite with full board.

Day 4: Kitumbeine Camp to Nagarirat Camp

After breakfast drive for 10 min then drop off for 10km walk to Kitumbeine viewing point.

At this point you will get the spectacular view of Mt. Kilimanjaro and Meru as well as the other volcanic parasites and plans around the area. After this walk then you will again start drive to Nagarirat swamp for hot bush lunch then have 1hour walking around the swamp where animal also be seen such as Giraffe, Grant Gazelle, Gerenuk, Ostrich then walk straight to the Nagarirat camp the camp which is allocated on the elevated place for a great sunset in the evening.

Today Camping, breakfast, lunch & dinner are all included so it is Full Board.

Day 5: Nagarirat Camp to Gelai Bomba Camp

After breakfast then you will have 25 min walk to a really Maasai boma where you will stop for 2 hours then learn how Maasai live in their boma and the way they use their area.

Today you will have a trek in strong sun and dust for (10 km) from Nagarirat Camp to Gelai Bomba Camp. Lunch, Dinner and Breakfast will be provided at this camp and it is included. This camp is allocated close to Gelai bomba village where different tribe of Tanzanian are settled but populated more with Maasai.

A trek today will allow you to see Giraffe, Grant Gazelle, Gerenuk and Maasai grazing their livestock. The area is dominated with acacia plants. Oldoinyo Lengai Mountain will also be viewed from the distance.

Day 6: Gelai Bomba Camp to Sunken Crater Camp

Trek in strong sun and dust for 18km through the Lava Plains with scattered acacia trees to Sunken Crater camp from Gelai Bomba camp.

This is a great day because the plan influences to spot same animals such as Wildebeest, Zebra, Grant Gazelle, Ostrich, Goshawk, Kori Bustard as well as Maasai grazing lamb.

Camping, breakfast, lunch & dinner included and they will be all available at the camp after arriving. The view of Oldoinyo Lengai Mountain will be seen very close today. Few Maasai leave at this area.

Day 7: Sunken Crater Camp to Engaruka Camp

After breakfast then trek in strong sun and dust for 15 km through the Lengai Plains with scattered acacia trees then stop for bush lunch then drive for 20 km to Engaruka camp for dinner and overnight.

This is another great day because the plan influences to spot same animals such as Wildebeest, Zebra, Grant Gazelle, Ostrich, Goshawk, Kori Bustard as well as Maasai grazing lamb and few Maasai boma.

Day 8: Engaruka Camp to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you will then have 2hours drive from Engaruka to Lake Manyara National Park then a game drive to Lake Manyara for a full day where different species of wildlife will be observed.

Leopards, Lions, Elephants, Baboons, Blue Monkeys, Dik-dik, Gazelles, Hippos, Giraffes, Impalas, Bushbucks, Buffalos, Wildebeests, Zebras and more, inhabit Lake Manyara National Park.

The park is also home to more than 400 bird species and is known for the flamingos that inhabit the lake. During the wet season they populate the edges of the lake in flocks of thousands, however they are not so present during the dry season.

After game drive in this small park then dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Wildlife Lodge if luxury lodges accommodation or Farm House if Luxury Tented camp accommodation or Heaven Nature camp if budget camping accommodation. Includes is Full Board.

Day 9: Hotel to Kilimanjaro International Airport

Today transfer back to Kilimanjaro International Airport via Arusha city for night flight Breakfast and lunch only included.
